Kaushik trained in computational biophysics and holds bachelors and masters degrees in Biophysics and Biotechnology from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, India. He earned his PhD in Computational Chemistry and Chemical Biology from Penn State University followed by postdoctoral research at the University of California, San Francisco. He has numerous publications and patents to his name and has significantly contributed to the fields of protein folding and design, quantum mechanics in drug discovery, structure and ligand-based drug design, clinical development, clinical trials, clinical decision support, and knowledge extraction and management.
